Do I need an exam prep course?

Does Bowen EHS provide OESH Certifications?

The short answer is no. Bowen EHS provides exam preparation for OESH certification exams. You need to apply through the appropriate OESH certifying board to sit for the certification exam.

How many points/credits/hours is a course worth?

To determine what a certifying board or agency will award for a course or webinar, one has to contact the board or agency directly. Bowen Learning Network, Inc. (Bowen EHS' parent company) is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is accredited to issue the IACET CEU. How each board or agency translates from those CEUs into their system is unique for each of them.

CHMM and CHMP Certifications - IHMM

The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM), a not-for-profit organization founded in 1984, has been protecting the environment and the public’s health, safety, and security through the administration of credentials recognizing professionals who have demonstrated a high level of knowledge, expertise, and excellence in the management of hazardous materials.

Over 15,000 homeland security, environmental protection, engineering, health sciences, transportation, and public safety professionals have earned IHMM’s accredited Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner (CHMP) credentials.

CIH Certification - BGC

The Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC)  is the premier global credentialing body for professionals who protect and enhance the health, safety, and environment of people at work and in their communities. Established in 1960 as the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) with one credentialing program, our independent non-profit 501(c)6 organization has grown to become the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC) with five credentialing programs designed to protect human health, safety, and the environment. BGC is responsible for ensuring high-quality certification application and examination processes, certification maintenance, and ethics governance and enforcement.

Bowen EHS provides courses for clients wishing to take the CIH examination. The actual examination is administered by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC). To find out more about certification and your eligibility, please contact the BGC directly.

ASP®, CSP® Certifications - BCSP

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) is recognized as the leader in high-quality credentialing for safety, health, and environmental practitioners in order to enhance the safety of people, property, and the environment.
