Ethics in the Modern Workplace (Part 1)
As Baby Boomers exit the workplace and Millennials and Generation Z take over, OEHS professionals should be aware of changing attitudes toward ethical versus unethical behavior. Baby Boomers may view some situations as simply right or wrong, whereas Gen Z thinks it’s a gray issue. As OEHS professionals, we need to recognize that life experiences may impact the way workers and employers navigate their ethical decision-making. This webinar discusses how the different generations view the workplace based on their life experiences and reviews the BCSP, BGC, and IHMM ethical standards. Then we’ll take you through several different scenarios to explore how different generations may apply these ethical standards.
Avoiding Ethical Traps (Part 2)
Certified Safety Professionals and Industrial Hygienists must be familiar with a set of ethical behaviors and values determined by the certifying board, but familiarity is not the same as adhering to those ethics. Even when referring to the Boards’ ethical standards there are lapses and mindsets which can trap even the most accomplished professional. This webinar will alert you to some common traps of unethical behaviors and how to apply the ethics set down by the Board of Certificated Safety Professionals (BCSP) and the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC) to your professional life.
