Presented: Mar 27, 2024 Available until: Apr 1, 2025
As Baby Boomers exit the workplace and Millennials and Generation Z take over, OEHS professionals should be aware of changing attitudes toward ethical versus unethical behavior. Baby Boomers may view some situations as simply right or wrong, whereas Gen Z thinks it’s a gray issue. As OEHS professionals, we need to recognize that life experiences may impact the way workers and employers navigate their ethical decision-making.
During this webinar, we will discuss how the different generations view the workplace based on their life experiences and review the BCSP, BGC, and IHMM ethical standards. Then we’ll take you through several different scenarios to explore how different generations may apply these ethical standards.
Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Recognize BGC, BCSP and IHMM ethical standards
- Describe how different life experiences may influence how workers view work and their relationships with their employers
- List ways that safety professionals can adhere to ethical standards while accommodating diverse views and recent changes to the workplace
