Ethics: Trust, Honesty, Integrity, Reliability

Ethics for Health and Safety Professionals

Presented: Jan 25, 2024  Available until: Jan 31, 2025

Standards of ethical behavior are important and necessary in every organization. When there is a lack of agreement within organizations about what constitutes ethical behavior, employees may be more vulnerable to ethical misconduct. The BGC requires CIH diplomates, and the BCSP requires ASP and CSP certificants to adhere to ethical standards, including ongoing ethics training.

This interactive ethics webinar includes a review of the BCSP and BGC codes of ethics and a discussion of ethical situations common in the workplace, with particular emphasis on environmental, health, and safety issues.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  1. Define ethics
  2. List the reasons ethics is important to an individual or organization
  3. Identify the pitfalls of unethical behavior
  4. List practices for avoiding unethical behavior
  5. Identify the BGC and BCSP codes of ethics
  6. Apply ethical principles in the workplace
