Standards of ethical behavior are important and necessary in every organization. When there is a lack of agreement within organizations about what constitutes ethical behavior, employees may be more vulnerable to ethical misconduct. The BGC requires CIH diplomates, and the BCSP requires ASP and CSP certificants to adhere to ethical standards, including ongoing ethics training.
This interactive ethics webinar includes a review of the BCSP and BGC codes of ethics and a discussion of ethical situations common in the workplace, with particular emphasis on environmental, health, and safety issues.
Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Define ethics
- List the reasons ethics is important to an individual or organization
- Identify the pitfalls of unethical behavior
- List practices for avoiding unethical behavior
- Identify the BGC and BCSP codes of ethics
- Apply ethical principles in the workplace

Michelle Reiher, CIH, CSP
Instructor
Michelle Reiher is a certified industrial hygienist and certified safety professional with over 20 years of safety and health experience in general industry and mining. She holds the MSHA IS, IU and IN certifications and has develop and conducted safety and health training within the MSHA Part 48 New Miner, Annual Refresher and Instructor Training courses. She has a passion for health and safety training and believes everyone should be given the knowledge to make choices that will keep them safe.

Computer Requirements

Support is available for iOS (iPads) and Android Tablets. While smart phones can be used, the screens are too small to display all of the aspects of the Virtual Classroom.
