Practical Ergonomics: Common Solutions to Reducing Ergonomic Risk

Practical Ergonomics: Common Solutions to Reducing Ergonomic Risk

Presented: Apr 20, 2023  Available until: Apr 30, 2024

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are among the most frequently reported causes of lost or restricted work time. As an occupational health and safety professional, it is important to know how to reduce ergonomic risk factors by making modifications to workplace equipment that fit the worker.

Additionally, OSHA can cite employers under the General Duty Clause for failing to keep their workplaces free from recognized hazards when there are feasible methods available to correct those hazards.

During this webinar, we will take you through the tools and equipment most commonly used to reduce ergonomic risk in the workplace and discuss the methods to select the proper equipment.

Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  1.  Develop a strategy to address to reduce overall ergonomic risk.
  2.  Identify common equipment to reduce ergonomic risk.
  3.  Determine methods to select appropriate equipment for the task.
