Jason B. Wood, CSP

Instructor

Mr. Wood is Environmental Science professional with experience in the public and private sectors. With 15 years in the industry, he is currently an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager. He was previously a government inspector supporting the Clean Streams Law and NPDES Permit compliance. Additional experience includes complying with state and federal regulations regarding solid waste, hazardous waste, drinking water, and air quality. Direct experience working with many mid-Atlantic environmental agencies, including PADEP, NJDEP, DNREC, and MDE. Following the successful completion of the Bowen ASP-CSP review course, Jason earned his CSP certification and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with like-minded professionals as they support the industry.

Manage all Environmental and Safety Programs, including Air Plan Approval/ State-only Air Permit, RCRA regulations, OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regulations and associated safety practices

 

Action Manufacturing Company – Bristol, PA – March 2014 – February 2018
Sole source provider to the Army for various munitions components.

Manager: Environmental/ Safety Compliance
Oversight of all Environmental and Safety Programs. This includes managing a RCRA Permit, Air Quality Permit and OSHA 29 CFR 1910, DCMA, ATF, DOD and DOT regulations.

Environmental Protection Manager
Managed environmental compliance at 18 regional sites to monitor daily environmental and safety conditions and made recommendations for corrective actions.

 

Bucks County Department of Health – Doylestown, Pennsylvania – November 2006 – December 2011
Agency responsible for monitoring public health in Bucks County.

Environmental Protection Specialist
Represent the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in Bucks County in regulating the Clean Streams Law. This includes monitoring and inspecting state permitted sewage and industrial waste facilities and monitoring the clean up of industrial waste spills that contaminate waterways of the Commonwealth. Monitor and inspect the County funded Public Bathing Place Program.

A leading environmental engineering firm responsible for third party representation to ensure the quality of various construction projects and environmental surveys

Staff Engineer
Performed site monitoring of construction sites, observed concrete pours, and areas of fill where soil was being added to alter elevations on the property. Cross-trained with the Environmental, Geophysical, and Erosion Departments as preparation for department transfer.
